One again my study on Sunday was about the Blood Moons as a sign of the coming of Jesus Christ. In 2014 and in 2015 we will have two sets of blood moons. The first blood moon in 2014 will be on April 15th and the second will be on October 8, 2014.
How do these signs from the sky fit into scripture? In Genesis 1:14 God said, “Let there be light in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years.” The word signs in Hebrews means ‘signals’ and the word seasons (which we look at as spring, summer, fall and winter) stands for ‘feast of the lord’.
Today I will simply start with Jesus Christ and how He fits in with the seven feast. In Leviticus 23 it explains the seven feast as Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement and Feast of Tabernacles. How does this correlate with Jesus Christ?
|Passover||Crucifixion of Jesus Christ|
|Unleavened Bread||Burial of Jesus Christ|
|Firstfruits||Resurrection of Jesus Christ|
|Pentecost||Holy Spirit was poured out onto the disciples|
|Feast of Trumpets|
|Day of Atonement|
|Feast of Tabernacles|
The Feast of Trumpets will be the time of the next profound action of God. So I encourage you to study, stay aware and ask questions. Remember Jesus is coming and Christians have been instructed to always be watching his return, Luke 12:34-40.
This week I will add a little more content about the Blood Moons. Stay warm and be blessed.
